Ukkusiksalik National Park

A set of three similar map installations were produced for Ukkusiksalik National Park in the Canadian Arctic. These maps serve to make the park familiar to visitors and to the members of nearby communities. The park boundary is highlighted using raised lines and paint schemes, and key historic and cultural sites are indicated with icons. One installation of this map includes four discovery drawers with ‘zoomed in’ high resolution maps of highlighted key areas. Signage accompanying each installation tells the stories of the Inuit people who call this land home.
